1. Service Agreement
By availing services from DTDC House Shifting, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- All services are provided as per the agreed scope in the quotation
- Additional services requested after commencement will incur extra charges
- We reserve the right to refuse service if unsafe conditions are present
- Services are subject to availability and prior booking confirmation
2. Booking & Payments
- A 25% advance payment is required to confirm booking
- Balance payment 75% at the time of loading
- We accept cash, UPI, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers
- Cancellations within 48 hours of service may incur 20% charges
- Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7-10 business days
3. Packing & Handling
- We use high-quality packing materials suitable for different item types
- Fragile, valuable, and special care items must be declared in advance
- Items not packed by our team are moved at owner's risk
- We are not liable for damage to improperly packed items
- Custom packaging solutions available for special items at additional cost
4. Liability & Insurance
- Basic insurance coverage is included for all transported goods
- Additional insurance can be purchased for high-value items
- Damage claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with supporting evidence
- We are not liable for damage due to natural disasters or acts of God
- Maximum liability is limited to the declared value of goods
- Insurance claims are subject to surveyor approval and policy terms
5. Vehicle & Transportation
- Our fleet includes various vehicle sizes to accommodate different load volumes
- Transportation routes are optimized for efficiency and safety
- Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, or other factors
- Tracking information will be provided for long-distance moves
- Additional charges may apply for remote locations or difficult access
6. Storage Services
- Storage fees are charged monthly in advance
- A 15-day notice is required for retrieval of stored items
- Perishable, hazardous, illegal, or flammable items cannot be stored
- Storage insurance is mandatory for all stored goods
- Access to stored items requires prior appointment and valid ID proof
- Long-term storage discounts available for periods over 3 months
7. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate inventory of items to be moved
- Ensure proper access at both origin and destination
- Obtain necessary parking permits and permissions if required
- Be present during packing, loading, and unloading operations
- Secure pets and children during moving operations
- Disconnect and prepare appliances for moving
- Empty and clean refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards
8. Prohibited Items
For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport the following items:
- Flammable materials (paint, gasoline, chemicals)
- Explosives, firearms, or ammunition
- Perishable food items
- Plants, seeds, or agricultural products
- Cash, jewelry, important documents, or precious items
- Hazardous or toxic materials
- Illegal substances or contraband
9. Force Majeure
DTDC House Shifting shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to:
- Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, storms, etc.)
- Government actions, restrictions, or lockdowns
- Labor disputes, strikes, or transportation failures
- War, terrorism, or civil unrest
- Pandemics, epidemics, or health emergencies
- Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control
10. Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes shall first attempt resolution through negotiation
- Unresolved disputes will be subject to mediation
- If mediation fails, disputes will be subject to jurisdiction in Bangalore courts
- Legal actions must be initiated within 6 months of service completion
- Customers agree to provide a 30-day cure period before initiating legal action
11. Pricing & Quotations
- Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue
- Final pricing may vary if actual volume differs from estimated volume
- Additional charges apply for services outside standard business hours
- All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless specified otherwise
- We reserve the right to revise prices with 30 days notice for ongoing services
12. General Terms
- These terms constitute the entire agreement between parties
- We reserve the right to modify terms with 15 days prior notice
- If any provision is found invalid, other provisions remain in effect
- Our failure to enforce any right doesn't constitute waiver
- Customers may not transfer services to third parties without written consent
- We may subcontract services while maintaining quality standards
